Neuromodulator Anti-Wrinkle Injections

Neuromodulators are injectable medications that weaken muscles for a few months. These injections are used to treat dynamic lines or wrinkles on the face and to reshape the jawline. Frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead are the most common types of wrinkles that will benefit from neuromodulator injections. It can also be used to treat spasms.

In microdermabrasion, a machine with a diamond fraise is used to exfoliate and remove the outer layers of the skin, making it look brighter and smoother. It is used mainly for rejuvenation, treating acne scars or active acne. Microdermabrasion works for all skin types and colours.

Chemical Peels

What is a chemical peel?

A chemical peel is the use of certain acids or chemicals to cause the peeling or exfoliation of old or damaged skin, thus allowing the new skin to grow or to rejuvenate. It may stimulate new collagen to form. This results in an improvement of the skin texture and skin tone resulting in a glow.

What is a chemical peel used for?

Chemical peels can be used to treat a variety of conditions, e.g.,

1. Acne, to reduce inflamed lesions, loosen and reduce white and black heads. It can be used to compliment the creams or tablets used to treat pimples.
2. Sun-damaged skin, to remove the sun-damaged outer layers, thus making the skin smoother.
3. Minimize wrinkles.
4. Pigmentation where the use of chemical peels enhances the lightening effects of lightening creams.

What chemical peels cannot do

1. Tighten the skin
2. Remove eye bags.
3. Remove dynamic lines e.g. frown lines and crow’s feet.

Intense Pulse Light

Intense pulse light (IPL) is the use of intense pulses of non-coherent light to treat a spectrum of skin problems. In this clinic we use the Coherent M22 system which is designed to meet international safety and performance standards.

Conditions that will benefit from IPL phototherapy are rejuvenation of the skin, reducing skin pigmentation, facial telangiectasia, freckles and age spots and redness on the face. After treatment, the skin on the face often appear more even and brighter. Removal of excess hair can also be achieved by using the IPL.

Electrosurgery is the application of a high-frequency electric current to cut, coagulate, desiccate or fulgurate skin tissues. This method is effective for removing superficial skin lesions eg skin tags, viral warts, sebaceous hyperplasia or seborrheic keratosis.
